The body of the earbud is two pieces, which are glued together. If the glue fails, the product fails. Because it has some threading, I was deceived into thinking I could screw the earbud back together. The thread is not substantial enough to keep the earbud together. After I had screwed it back together a couple of times, I over-screwed it once, and ripped a wire off of the speaker component, rendering that earbud unable to play music. If this happens to you, you could try gluing it back together. Better yet, solder it together, which is probably what should have been done, originally.

I was disappointed in the quality of these–they are missing an entire range of sound and are very unbalanced. Sounds like a.m. radio through a tunnel. waste of money
